Questions about sending files
How large a file can I upload?
Most files are under 50 MB and upload with the standard option above. For files between 50 MB and 500 MB, select the large file option at the top of the form. You can send up to 10 files at once. If your file is larger than 500 MB, call us at 858.625.4111 and we'll work out the best way to get it to us.
Should I zip my files?
It helps. Compressing several files into one .zip archive makes the upload faster and easier to track. If you're sending native files from InDesign or Illustrator, package them first so your fonts and linked images come along.
Can I email my files instead?
Yes. We recommend the upload form above, though, since many email providers limit attachment size and large graphic files may not get through.
Can I bring my files in on a flash drive?
Yes, we'll gladly accept files on a flash drive. Bring them to our shop at 9906 Mesa Rim Road in Sorrento Valley.
How long do you keep my files?
We keep all quotes, specifications, and files on record, so reordering doesn't mean sending everything again.
How do I make sure my files are print-ready?
Our file preparation guide covers file formats, color mode, resolution, bleed, and fonts. If you're not sure, send your files anyway. Our staff check every file and let you know whether it's press-ready or needs changes, and we can often fix it for you.
