The Sustainability Message That Blooms

In celebration of Earth Day 2025, we here at TPS Printing decided to print a limited-edition postcard on this special occasion. But this isn’t just another mailer. It’s a gentle invitation. A thank-you. A tangible symbol of renewal. We sent these postcards to 200 of our most loyal clients – businesses who’ve supported us and grown with us. On the back of each card, you’ll find a few notes about our sustainability goals and our ongoing efforts to reduce waste, source responsibly, and deliver excellence without compromise. And the best part? Once you’ve read it, you can plant it. 🌱 That card – now infused with meaning – will transform into a patch of wildflowers, offering pollinators a snack and you a reminder that good things grow from thoughtful choices.

Seed Paper?!

Yes, seed paper! While TPS Printing has served our San Diego community with commercial printing, we’ve worked with thousands of different types of papers and materials, but for this year’s Earth Day celebration, we wanted to do something a bit different. This paper, handcrafted in San Diego, features embedded wildflower seeds (all non-invasive to California) and is comprised of 100% biodegradable components. That’s right! You can plant this paper and watch the wildflowers blossom over time – and thanks to our eco-friendly inks / printing practices, there’s no negative impact on the environment (please remain mindful not to litter, however!). It naturally decomposes in soil, leaving nothing behind but blooming beauty.

Printing is an industry that touches many materials – paper, ink, packaging – and with that comes a responsibility to lead by example.
